Hi Peter, I simply want to say what a fabulous day I had with you on Big Cats Photography One-to-One in November. To say that I’d been looking forward to the day would be an understatement of epic proportions and often it seems that such an eagerly awaited event can go a tad slack in reality. Not so our day … in fact I can’t think of any aspect that could have been improved upon!!!

The help you gave me in particular was excellent. I took in the region of 400 different photos, only half of which I have looked at so far, and I’m absolutely thrilled with the results!! Once again, many thanks for opportunity offered to us on Monday and perhaps you will pass on my thanks to everyone at the venue and especially for the lovely food provided for us at lunch time.

This is the first chance I have had to contact you since I arrived home from our fantastic trip to the Masa Marai. Many thanks for your recent e-mail messages since we returned from our trip to Kenya. It is still sinking in that I have now actually been to Africa!
Thanks again for all the help and guidance you provided before and during the trip. In particular I am very grateful for the alerts you gave us about photographic opportunities just before they happened such as when the Serval was about to jump and framing the baby giraffe by the long neck of the adult. Obviously seeing opportunities such as these only comes with experience and I much appreciate you sharing your sightings with us.
Thanks Again and All the Best for now,

Ian M.

Hello Peter, I want to say thanks so much for the Wolf day and being so forthcoming with help and advice and also for letting me try that lens. You have some wonderful shots on your website by the way and on Flickr; truly beautiful and shot with a really artistic eye too! Thanks again Peter, will hopefully see you again on another one soon. All the best.

Hi Peter, I just wanted to say thanks for a great afternoon with the Wolves on Saturday. It was just what I needed - an afternoon photographing amazing wolves and chatting to other like-minded photographers. It was great to meet you too - & hopefully I can get onto another course in the not-too-distant future. I've attached my favourite pic (so far) from the day; I've still got the bulk of them to work through, so I'll hopefully have a few more to send over once I've managed to sort them out. Great day on Saturday photographing Big Cats at the Cat Survival Trust, Welwyn. The work being done by this team to help endangered species of cats is just fantastic and it was a real privilege to spend time with these beautiful creatures. Big thanks to Peter Smart for another great wildlife photography workshop.

Hi Peter,

Hope you're well. Here's a link to a few photos that my girlfriend Jo took at the Anglian Wolf Society on probably the hottest Sunday in May! We both really enjoyed the day and will hopefully join you on one of your other shoots (big cats etc.) at some point in the future.

Good Morning Peter,

Thank you very much for the course held the the cat survival trust on Sunday. I really enjoyed the day and improved my knowledge on settings, gained more confidence in what I have been doing, but most of all a day dedicated to taking pictures of some fantastic animals was brilliant. It seems I took over 800 pictures but I've managed to whittle them down to 52. Thanks again, and I hope to attend another course both with going digital and yourself in the future.

Highly recommend the Big Cats course. Peter Smart has a wealth of knowledge and you learn all about the fantastic work the cat survival trust do. I was on the course yesterday. Took almost 500 pictures and really pleased with my results. You will be inches from teeth and claws

I have finally finished editing and choosing the best from my pix from the excellent British Wildlife Weekend you ran in Devon last month. I have put them in an album on my page. I took 1100 in total over the two days. I should really appreciate some feedback. Thanks again for all the advice and tips. I feel I learned a lot. Hope to meet you again some time on another course

Kind regards,

Angela N.

First off let me say many thanks for a great time last weekend in Devon. We enjoyed ourselves enormously and found it extremely informative and interesting. I have now done the first cull of over 1500 photos and have uploaded a few. I would be grateful for your comments and any advice you are able to offer. The centre is a wonderful resource as well as doing conservation work. Thanks must also go to everyone there for allowing us to visit and take advantage of the facilities. Please pass on our thanks and best wishes to them as well.
Kind Regards

Martin A

Just wanted to quickly drop you a line and say a very big thanks, before you do the next British Wildlife weekend workshop in Devon this weekend.

I know you asked for some feedback so thought I would try to do it now before the next weekend. I thought the weekend was marvellous all round. The weekend was also made very enjoyable as you were always on hand to help out and answer all of our many technical questions, and Lavinia was also exceedingly helpful and knowledgeable. And what a super bunch of people who attended the course as well.

Just to say how very much I enjoyed the Wildlife Course on Saturday. Peter was an excellent tutor - paced everything perfectly for the experienced and less experienced of us - all questions were answered thoroughly in 'user-friendly language'. It was a wonderful experience!

best wishes,

Just a quick email to say thank you for a great day at Bedford yesterday. Peter was a very helpful guide and his advice was given in such a way that it made sense to even the least technical of photographers. I was a little apprehensive when I first arrived, thinking I would be out of my depth and embarrassed by people much more experienced than me. How wrong could I have been. It was a very relaxed and friendly day with like minded people. The falconer was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for him, his guidance as to how the birds would behave was very useful. I will certainly be looking at booking another day with you.
Once again, many thanks and I hope you like the picture of the Chilean blue eagle I took on the day. One of many I am proud of.

At long last I'm getting round to doing some emails - instead of dreaming over my shots of Rwanda and Kenya and wishing I was still there!
Thank you so much for organizing the trip and for the help you gave me. I loved every minute of the holiday. It was a good group and there was so much to see, do and photograph. Everyone I see gets an earful of how wonderful Rwanda, the gorillas, Kenya and the game drives were. People seem to be disappearing when they see me coming now - I can't think why! Once again, thanks for everything and I'll see you in Sri Lanka, if not before

I just wanted to say thanks to you and the guides for a great safari to Tanzania: A Photographer’s Paradise. The organisation was superb. I can't think of any way that it could be improved. It exceeded all my expectations, although I did go with an open mind. I do realise that we were lucky in what we saw in the way of wildlife though.
I downloaded my photos yesterday and found I had taken 8800 photographs ... on one day I took 1500!
Thanks again,

Ken

Hi Peter

Just to reiterate how much I enjoyed Friday’s sessions at the Falconry Centre – thank you. I thought I’d let you know that, despite my major reservations, I did actually get some good shots of the birds in flight!! I’ve attached a couple of examples. I know they’re by no means perfect but I now know I can take adequately sharp images using my newly-found ‘AI servo’ option! All the best

Thank you for sending the link to your images of the group. The images you took in the clearing with the second group of Gorillas certainly make you realise how close we were. Thanks Pete, for a wonderful trip and for all your help.

Once again, thanks for a brilliant holiday in Rwanda and Kenya and thanks also for all your help on the photographic front. I've loaded my pics onto the computer and am really pleased with them so I have plenty to occupy myself over the next few evenings organising all 1,382 of them! Hope to hear from you soon and look forwarding to taking another holiday with you soon.

Hi Peter, We had an absolutely amazing time in the Galapagos Islands and many, many thanks for all you did to make it so enjoyable. We loved the place, the photography and the company, so altogether an unforgettable trip. We are still going through and sorting our pics so re-living the whole thing. We have looked through most of our images now and are really pleased. We have got some really good ones like Sealions with fish and pulling Iguana's tail, all sorts of birds in flight, just hatched Nazca Booby - wonderful - and some really good tortoises, etc, etc. Excellent, and many we can use for competitions. Thank you once again for everything and very best wishes

Dear Peter, Many thanks for a brilliant trip to the Galapagos Islands. I enjoyed every moment of it! I've looked at my shots and I am pleased with them. Thanks also for the birthday cards and arranging the cake. I really had a birthday to remember. Looking forward to seeing you in January for Rwanda. All the best.

This is just to say thank you for a fabulous trip! We had a great time in India and would love to go back!
I had expected to love the wildlife obviously, and I did, but I hadn't anticipated enjoying the people, the traffic, the colours, the trains and so on as much as I did! I'm glad that we did the whole trip, not just because we saw the lions but also because we saw so much more of rural India than we otherwise would. I like some of the people photos every bit as much as the wildlife ones!
Thanks again for your hard work in India!

I have only one general comment about the trip [Kenya:North & South and Great Migration extension], brilliant! I really enjoyed the trip and it managed to exceed both my expectations and my hopes. The latter being a very tall order. The effort that you personally put in both before and during the trip really paid off. I know some may say that it was your job to do that but I think that you often went further than you needed to. So thank you, it was really appreciated.

Mike

I am sure you know, but I did have the time of my life, everything was better than I could have ever expected. I will tell all that will listen what a great photographic safari you organize.
