
Birds, Insects & Plants around Lincolnshire in Spring 2018
A variety of images taken during visits to several Lincolnshire nature reserves during Spring & early Summer including RSPB Frampton Marsh, Lincs Wildlife Trust Deeping Lakes and Moulton Marsh. Diving Ducks at Deeping Lakes
Another bright day and not too cold and windy! We visited Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust Deeping Lakes SSSI, a series of flooded gravel pits which is great location for birds throughout the year. During the winter they have good numbers of diving ducks from the far north and we spent time with a pair of beautiful and very confiding Goldeneye and some rather less obliging Goosanders. #LincolnshireWildlifeTrust #DeepingLakes #Goldeneye

Common Terns at Deeping Lakes
In June 2017 we visited Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust Deeping Lakes SSSI which is wonderful for wildlife throughout the year. In the winter the flooded gravel pits are a haven for diving ducks while in the summer it is filled with the sounds of breeding Common Terns and many other birds. On the day of our visit there were also huge numbers of butterflies and dragonflies. Indeed, during the morning we didn't manage to get out of the car park before we had to leave for an importa
