Diving Ducks at Deeping Lakes
Another bright day and not too cold and windy! We visited Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust Deeping Lakes SSSI, a series of flooded gravel pits which is great location for birds throughout the year.
During the winter they have good numbers of diving ducks from the far north and we spent time with a pair of beautiful and very confiding Goldeneye and some rather less obliging Goosanders.
